Congratulations to all those who set new personal standards or broke one of the 19 team records that fell (including coach Allie, who swam a sub-minute 100-fly). Also, isn’t it cool to see the “family” teams (DeRousseau, McCormick, and O’Brien clans) that reflect what a strong and enduring swimming culture we have in Santa Rosa!
New Team records were set by the following swimmers:
Karissa DeRousseau
Nikkolas Kemp
Alan Schmidt
Allie Davis (2)
Susan Nowack (2)
Diana Teeter (2)
Carl Covard (2)
Merrie Walts (3)
Mike O’Brien (5)
Austin Stevenson (2, including one from 2006!)

The meet doesn’t happen without all the work from many volunteers from the team and the Santa Rosa swimming community. Props to the SRJC staff, led by Jill McCormick, who managed the timing system, lifeguards, and set up and take down. Thanks to the many others who gave up their Saturday morning (or a chance to swim in the meet) in order to insure a safe and good time for all.
