2017 Pacific Masters Short Course Yards Championships
April 7th, 8th and 9th, 2017 - Soda Aquatic Center, Campolindo High School

14 teammates braved inclement weather in Moraga for this year's PacificMasters SCY Champs. Swimmers faced the cold, wind, and rain on Friday, with the addition of hail on Saturday, and occasional sun on Sunday.

Outstanding contribution was made by David Rust. David earned more than 100 points for our team, and made five new team records in the Men's 70-74 age group. David now has the 50, 100, & 200 yard Breaststroke records, in addition to the 100 & 200 IM records. Congratulations David.

Also, a big Congratulations to Chip Pettibone for making a new team record in the men's 100 breaststroke age 55-59.
Additionally, congrats to Dave Hale for his new record in the 1000 free for men ages 60-64.

Norman Stupfel showed us the long and the short of it by making two new records in freestyle for men ages 80-84. Norman bested his own time in the 50 free and created a new record in the 500 free. Way to go.

Additional swimmers were Sara Jones, Robin Bulman, Sheila Nelson, Marcela Rueda, Merrie Walts, Michael Dailey, John Morales, Dick Green, Todd Wilson and Don Foreaker.

In the small teams division, Santa Rosa Masters took second to Tamalpias Aquatics Masters by a mere two points. Two points. That could have been you.

A final word: Good Luck to all our team mates and lane mates that are going to Riverside for the Spring Nationals 2017. Please check USMS website for additional information about this meet.
